Layers
Every daily puzzle begins with four mini-games: LetterLock, Anagram, Crossword, and Word Search. Solve each one to unlock a word for the Final Board.
Those four words join twelve others in a 16-word grid. Your goal is to sort all sixteen words into four hidden groups of four, while watching out for words that could seem to fit more than one category.
Everyone gets the same puzzle each day. You have a limited number of mistakes on the Final Board, so choose your groups carefully.

One game, built properly
Hidden Layer Labs is an independent studio focused on building Layers, a daily word puzzle made up of four mini-games and one final 16-word challenge.
We're not a publisher managing a large portfolio of apps. Layers is our primary focus, and that focus shapes the small details: how a tile responds when you solve a group, how progress feels after a thirty-day streak, and how quickly the game opens when you only have a few minutes for the daily puzzle.
We built Layers because we wanted a word game with more variety than a single daily challenge, without turning it into a collection of unrelated games. Each mini-game unlocks a word that becomes part of the Final Board, so everything contributes to one connected puzzle.
We also play each daily puzzle ourselves. That keeps us honest about which categories feel satisfying, which clues are fair, and which features genuinely improve the experience rather than simply looking good in a screenshot.
Layers is created and operated by Hidden Layer Labs LLC and is available on the web, iPhone, and Android.
